Once we finished filling our bellies in Urumbamba, we packed back up and headed through even MORE beautiful Peru countryside towards Ollantaytambo. In Ollantaytambo we had the chance to walk around some more ruins and take in some spectacular sights. The mountains in this area were breathtaking (and I had no idea it would pale in comparison to Machu Picchu).

| That's definitely a real dog that was just posing for this picture. |
 |
| The detail in what they carved was AMAZING. |
 |
| The stones are all carved to fit together perfectly...you can see this even better in the picture below. |
 |
| Humming into the walls...it was the cool thing to do. |
 |
| You can sort of see the ancient buildings on the side of the mountain. |

By the time we were done touring the site we were ready to head to our train that would take us to Machu Picchu....almost. Brittany's mom had seen a cute little bridge with flowers she wanted to get a picture by before leaving. Our tour guide told us we didn't have much time, but if we ran we could go get the picture.
Apparently, that's where our good communication ended. We ran back to the spot we
thought we were supposed to meet our guide, but she wasn't there. She wasn't
anywhere. Start panicking.......NOW. We're practically galloping up and down the streets of this little town trying to spot our guide somewhere. It's like fifteen minutes before our train is supposed to leave so we're just a little nervous we might not make it to Machu Picchu. Finally, one of us spots her up the hill aways...no where near we thought she was going to meet us. She was running down trying to find us since we were now very late. We hopped in our car (after waiting another minute for him to drive around the block because the police were yelling at him) and sped off to the train station. Boy, am I glad we had someone with us who knew where we were going and what we needed to do!
